A Lost Smile

Those were times when her smile would make you forget a thousand blues
Those were chimes that would drop nothing yet a thousand clues
A heart that spoke of warmth affection and care for the loved and close
Indeed the best medicine, with always thirst for a better dose

Alas the times change the worlds exchange the cities grange
Alas the winters arrive the failures contrive the past alive
Smile remains but innocence is amiss warmth remain but joy seems a bliss

Such rain pours it would take my heart and soul
Such cold remains it would take my brass and coal
I wander wonder ponder squander looking for that smile once more
A condor waiting for his dove with a breaking heart and a broken core

Mind fails again where the heart feels the pain
Waiting for the train that could lead me to solitude Oh Spain!
Bane of helplessness not arrived yet but sensed near
Blessed be the soul that could help her and let me tear

Winter shall be over soon and the summer sun shall rise again
Smile that guided the day light would flow like golden champagne
Strength will need shall guide me to express hide abstain
Saviour every moment and live with horrendous pain
Excruciating and agonizing yet desired and craved
Depriving depraving yet in love I enslaved
